SVA Certified Public Accountants is proud to announce the appointment of Eric Trost as the firm’s new President, effective June 1, 2025. Eric succeeds Glen Weyenberg, who is retiring after 38 years of dedicated service, including the last five years as President.
Eric brings more than two decades of experience with SVA to his new role. Since joining the firm 22 years ago, he has led the Tax Department, served on the Board of Directors, and built lasting relationships with clients by helping them navigate complex financial decisions. Known for his strategic mindset and commitment to service, Eric steps into the role with a clear focus on continuing the firm’s tradition of trust, expertise, and innovation.
“It’s a privilege to follow in Glen’s footsteps,” said Eric. “His leadership and dedication have shaped SVA into the strong and respected firm it is today. I’m excited to build on that foundation while continuing to grow our services and invest in the people who make SVA exceptional.”
Glen’s retirement marks the close of a distinguished career that began straight out of college and evolved into a legacy of leadership and innovation. Under his tenure as President, SVA maintained national recognition as a top accounting firm, achieved Great Place To Work® certification, and strengthened its organizational culture.
Reflecting on his retirement, Glen said, “I’ve been continually inspired by how our team lives out the commitment to ‘Serve People Better.’ I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished together and confident that Eric will continue to lead with integrity, vision, and a deep dedication to our clients and staff.”
As President, Eric plans to guide SVA’s continued evolution as an independent firm by prioritizing people development, expanding capabilities, and helping clients reach both business and personal goals through proactive, forward-thinking strategies.
