Trace the Line Conversation: A conversation about racism and inequality

The killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis and the shooting of Jacob Blake in Kenosha sparked a new wave of social justice movements right here in the Midwest. Join us on Wednesday, Feb. 24, at 7 p.m. for a Black History Month conversation we desperately need to have about racism, inequality and where we go from here. We’ll hear from community leaders in three cities significantly impacted by events over the past year: Angela Rose Myers (President of the Minneapolis NAACP), Joselynne Joy Gardner (Assistant Deputy General Counsel, Board of Education of the City of Chicago - Law Department), S.R. Mills (CEO of Bear Development, Kenosha, Wis.) and Porche Bennett-Bey (Founder of Kenosha groups United as One and Moorish Outreach Coalition, and a Time magazine 2020 Guardian of the Year).

The makers of the independent feature film Trace the Line will host the event, which is free and open to those who pre-register at www.wearebravebird.com/conversations.
