Reopening Best Practices: Retail & Restaurants

Many in the retail and restaurant business are navigating the reopening of their businesses. That does not mean you have to go at it alone. Join us for this virtual meeting as we bring together strategic partners to help unfold some of your top questions.
 
The event will run from 8:00 am – 9:30 am on Wednesday, May 20. The retail space will be the focus from 8:00-9:00 and restaurants from 8:30-9:30. You are encouraged to attend the entire session or just the portion that pertains to your business.

  • 8:00 – Retail Considerations with Corey Kautzky, General Manager, RED Development (Greenway Station). Topics Include:      
    • When is the right time to reopen and will people come?
    • Ideas for revamping store set up
    • Limiting the number of people in the store and communicating to your shoppers
    • Safety Considerations such as PPE, health checks, requiring masks, etc
    • Implementing new cleaning protocols – Do you clean everything that someone touches? Will you allow people to try things on?
  • 8:30 – Safety and Security with Officer Tom Wilson, Community Awareness Officer, Middleton Police Department 
  • 8:40 – Cleaning Protocols, Supplies & Best Practices with Mike Johnson, President, City Supply
  • 8:55 – Restaurant Considerations with Lee Drapp, General Manager, Ruth’s Chris Steak House & Gary George, Director of Operations, Jersey Mike's Subs. Topics Include: 
    • When is the right time to reopen and will people come?
    • Ideas for revamping in restaurant set up
    • Addressing Occupancy Limits and Restaurant hours
    • Safety Considerations such as PPE health checks, requiring masks, etc.
    • Implementing new cleaning protocols
    • Menus – Should we change to plastic or implement ordering from a mobile device
    • Managing curbside and dine in
  •  9:30 – Session Ends
