Nevertheless\, over 16% of Americans still believe global warming is a myth. Why do these Americans still believe it is better to continue business as usual and take our chances? This author believes the answer lies in the ideas proposed by the environmental community on how to reduce global warming. First\, a carbon tax was proposed. Then\, government regulation was proposed. Finally\, the environmental community has stood by while various political factions have falsely claimed that trillions of dollars in funding will be required to reduce the threat of global warming.
